I am proud to be a co-founder of our firm.  It has given me the opportunity to leverage my background in law, business, finance, tax, investments and insurance for the benefit of our clients.  While we have a strong, intelligent and repeatable investment process at the core, our relationships only begin there. We work together to thoughtfully maintain and create wealth in a wide variety of manners for our clients. I genuinely look forward to the evolving planning opportunities that each day presents to us.

 

Prior to forming Ascent, I was the President of another financial and retirement planning firm. In addition, I practiced law in both the private and public sector, concentrating on tax, business, finance and estate law. This background has proved to offer valuable depth in negotiating many of the varied and complex situations our clients have encountered.

 

I continue to remain active as an attorney, while also maintaining various investment and insurance licenses. I am a proud Alum of St. Lawrence University (B.A. Philosophy); Albany Law School (J.D.) and the University of San Diego School of Law (Masters in Taxation Law).

 

I currently reside with my wife and children in New Hartford, New York, where I remain very active in the not-for-profit community and coaching youth sports.
